When is the deadline for the TonicCon applications?

• The deadline is set for August 23rd, 11:59PM EST!

If I didn’t qualify for the Evening Concert performance, do I still have a chance for the Masterclass or Tonic Stage?

• Yes. But, you have to fill out a separate application. You can also use the same piece across different events!

Can I submit an audition video without accompaniment for the Evening Concert?

• Yes, you can!

What ages is the event suitable for?

• All ages - but we advise that all minors (under the age of 13) be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian

Who is responsible for the flight ticket expenses?

• Only those who get selected for the evening concerts have their flights and accommodations paid for.
• If you get selected to play in a masterclass or on the daytime Tonic Stage, you will be awarded one general admissions ticket to TonicCon as well as a goodies bag!

Who is giving the masterclasses?

• Ray Chen (violin)
• Robert Lipsett (violin)
• Julio Elizalde (piano & chamber music)

Is there an application fee for winners?

• No - there is no application fee to apply. Also, those who are chosen to play will have their TonicCon ticket comped.

  • Evening concert winners will receive one complimentary Gold Pass for the day of their performance
  • Masterclass and Tonic Stage performers will receive one complimentary General Admissions ticket
  • If a ticket has already been purchased, we will refund your ticket.

I would like to apply for the Evening Concert with a piece that is just seconds longer than 10 minutes, is that ok?
